Highest Rating For Commercial Common Criteria Lab

STENNIS SPACE
CENTER, MS. August 28, 2002
- Delta Security Technologies, Inc., a woman-owned small
business and developer of information security solutions for
protecting high-value government and corporate information
assets, today announced its Sentinel Cyber Security System
has received the Common Criteria EAL4 (Evaluation Assurance
Level 4) rating, the highest level of Common Criteria
laboratory accreditation. The evaluation demonstrates that
Sentinel has met the most stringent security requirements
for protecting critical data and computer functions from the
Insider Threat.
Common Criteria is the international standard, ISO 15408,
which defines methods for evaluating IT security products
and systems. COACT, an independent organization and
accredited Common Criteria Testing Laboratory, tested
Sentinel for security vulnerabilities under EAL4 against 29
functions that counter the Insider Threat.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Delta Security
Technologies, JoAnn Flyntz is quoted as saying, "I am very
proud that the Sentinel is one of a dozen or so Security
Systems that has been able to achieve an EAL4 rating, and is
the only security system that has achieved this rating in
the category of PC Access Control. With the EAL4 rating,
organizations can be assured that Delta Security
Technologies’ trusted security solutions for protecting
critical information and functions are among the most secure
in the industry."
The inventor of the Sentinel and Delta Security Technologies
Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Terry Flyntz stated, “the
Sentinel is the only evaluated security system that is
targeted to counter the insider threat that accounts for at
least 2/3 of all computer and network security intrusions.
Its hardware-based security technology allows the Sentinel
to withstand many of the types of security attacks that are
successfully used against software-based security systems.
In addition, the capability of the Sentinel to operate
within any PC using any operating system and protect vital
data and network, telecommunications, and network operations
at multiple security levels is totally unique.”
